One of Japanese cafe in Vientiane is helping us to pick up onion skin for using natural dyes. About the onion skin dye , The onion skin need 2kg to dye silk yarn 1kg. Does anyone be interested workshop with natural dyed silk scarf and weaving at Houey hong centre? Who wanna try to make your own design scarf, Sin(Lao traditional skirt) or something? At this time , There are two Japanese students of natural dyeing and weaving training. So we would like to introduce about workshop and training at Houey hong. This student selected weaving workshop to make OBI ( Kimono's belt) by self. Our staff set everything to weave for student, (*Setting fee do not include in workshop fee.) So, you can take weaving workshop on your schedule. → information more Training is different way in workshop. You will get Lao traditional weaving or natural dyed technique by training course. This student are training about natural dyed. It will start to learn about refining silk yarn first, ( It is the work that is necessary before dyeing it.) and then you can learn how to dye with natural material. → information more We can arrange in your workshop or training for what would you do.

These Lao skirt by houeyhong's hand woven are going to show and sell in Lao Handicraft Festival at Lao-ITECC from October 26 to November 1.
We hope many people will come to see Lao traditional weaving and dyeing technique in this show.
SHIFU is one of Japanese weaving technique.
In Houey hong centre , this weaving tecnique is one of the main product to sell.
Specially, to combine Lao posa paper and Lao traditional different patterns and natural dyeing to make Japanese people traditional OBI to sell to them.
Centre has order to posa paper yarn with villager in Vangvieng.
This time, we could visit place of production a posa paper yarn.
The Lao posa paper weaving coaster is a original item by villager.
We also use Lao posa paper to weave table cloth and material to make bags etc.
The intention of our centre is to use new material "Posa paper yarn " to create a new wave in Lao weaving and to encourage to Japanese people to re-use their old culture of paper weaving.
